Combat Canines:

The DDoc Foundation

Adopting a retired Working Dog is not cheap! Contrary to what some may believe, these heroes do not receive any benefits upon their retirement, and that includes medical care. Your generous donations are used to pay for the veterinary bills of our supported K-9's and help alleviate some of the financial pressure of their grateful adopters. The life these heroes have led may have taken a toll on their bodies, sometimes making it difficult for them to get around and enjoy the retirement that they not only deserve, but the one they earned!

In addition to paying for our heroes veterinary bills, your generous donations may also go towards providing our heroes with such items as slings and ramps. The slings are available for dogs that have trouble with their hind legs, and even for dogs who have trouble with all four legs. Vehicle ramps make it easy for the dogs to get in and out of vehicles for trips to the vet, park, or just out for a drive to enjoy the scenery!

Retired K-9's are, more often than not, large breeds such as the German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, and Labrador Retrievers, and with big breeds comes big problems! We can also provide joint supplements to our supported K-9's to help with joint problems such as Hip Dysplasia and Osteoarthritis.
